How would you describe your role at Shell?

My role today is primarily focused on helping the people and the organisation to be as effective as possible in times of both stability and change. I work with IT executives, leadership teams, and individuals at all levels.

Have you received any training at Shell?

I have received more training at Shell than I could ever have imagined. From formal classroom training to online training, on the job training to learning partner training. As I have changed jobs within Shell and 're-tooled' for new positions, I have always been given the opportunity to gain the skills I need to be successful.

What do you like most about the job?

Feeling like I make a difference in the lives of people, the organisation, and the business as a whole is very rewarding for me. Additionally, I like the flexibility that I have been able to experience in my job.  I began working part-time four years ago and also telecommute several days a week now. While this may not always be an option based on the positions I choose, the flexibility has supported my choice to be more involved with my family.

What are your future career plans?

I plan to continue to develop my skills and expertise in the area of organisational development and change management and apply them at an executive level at Shell.

What makes you stay at Shell?

There are so many reasons why I am still here. I stay at Shell for the people and the wonderful relationships I have developed, the interesting jobs I have always had, and the continued opportunities for learning and growth on both a professional and personal level.
