Why did you decide to work for Shell?

I chose Shell because I wanted to gain a wide variety of business experience although I was unsure what area I wished to specialise in for the long term. I knew Shell would provide me with opportunities to experience many different areas, helping me make the right decision.

How would you describe your role at Shell?

I am responsible for the Retail Operations Support functions in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. These areas include Shell card sales, Wet Stock management, and relationship activities with our retailers and alliance partners. It's a really varied role and keeps me on my toes.

How would you describe your typical day?

Diverse - it can consist of team meetings, meetings with internal and external stakeholders, visiting retail sites, or meeting with retailers.

What do you like most about the job?

I really enjoy the atypical nature of retail operations - from dealing with customers through to managing any number of projects all at the same time. There's never a dull moment!

What are your future career plans?

I'd like to continue to use my experience and skills in a proactive way to develop the business. More specifically, I'd either like to further progress my career within the retail business or through general management in another Oil Products business.
