Three words - global, exciting, professional. With a leading position in the energy business, I was certain Shell would be able to offer me global opportunities in an exciting industry working with world-class professionals. So far, all my expectations have been fulfilled.

When I joined Shell, my background wasn't ideal - I spoke hardly any English, I had never worked abroad and my French academic background was considered quite obscure. Nevertheless, Shell gave me a chance!

As the Finance Director of one of the largest oil refineries in the world, I lead a team of more than fifty finance professionals and handle immense financial challenges. Furthermore - as a member of the management team - I also contribute to the general management of the company.

Every day is a rich mix of professional and human challenges. I address these through engagements and teamwork with my team, management and customers.

I'd like to keep discovering the world - Asia in particular - and extend my professional horizons beyond finance, for example by exploring the area of marketing - a possibility within Shell.
