2.Always keep your Shell Gas cylinder in an upright position.

3.Place your gas cooker and Shell Gas cylinder above ground level with the gas cooker positioned higher then the Shell Gas cylinder. Ensure that the rubber hose does not touch the hot surface of the cooker or oven.

4. Place your Shell Gas cylinder 1m to 1.5m away from any open flame or heat source such as electrical appliances, power points etc., unless your Shell Gas cylinder is stored in a well ventilated gas compartment designed for cylinder storage.

5.The correct way to light your non-automatic stove or oven is to:
a. Light a match
b. Put the flame to the burner
c. Turn on the gas cooker's valve

6.While cooking...
Keep your doors and windows open for proper ventilation.
Keep curtains away from the stove so that they cannot blow over the burning flames.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR COOKING UNATTENDED.

7. Do not rest hot cooking appliances on your Shell Gas cylinders and do not subject your Shell Gas cylinder to excessive heat.

8. If you are not cooking for a length of time, turn off the gas supply at the cooker and regular.

9. Gas leakage can be detected by its peculiar smell.
10. Check the hose connections from time to time for leakage. Apply soap solution over suspected leaks and if gas bubbles form and grow in size it indicates gas leakage.
DO NOT TEST LEAK WITH NAKED FLAME.

11. Check hose and clips periodically and replace them as soon as they are worn out. It is recommended that hoses and clips be replaced every two years, whereas regulators should be replaced every five years.

12. When changing your LPG cylinder ensure that there are no naked flames in the vicinity and that the gas stove is switched off.

|
|
Handle Shell Gas cylinder carefully and DO NOT DROP OR DRAG THE CYLINDERS.
