Wet temper fluids |
 |
A good wet temper fluid can be the difference between a quality finished product and significant roll downtime. The Shell Fenella Fluid SP range of wet temper fluids has been developed to ensure a clean and efficient wet temper roll process. The Shell Fenella Fluid SP range can help to: - Improve strip cleanliness
- Reduce work roll fouling
- Maintain strip surface roughness
- Protect work rolls
- Give enhanced anti-corrosion protection
- Control reduction without slippage
- Compatible with sheet coating oils
- Prevent grease/oil spotting
The range also includes a multi-functional aqueous temper fluid and medium corrosion protective for use on mild steels and silicon alloys. This specialist product is suitable for normal and medium to high extension (5-15%) operations, and at elevated concentrations (15-30%), can provide medium term (4 months) corrosion protection for storage/transport, reducing the need for additional protective oil application. |
