The results delighted our own scientists. The strictly controlled, independent laboratory-testing programme revealed that Shell Helix motor oils rapidly removes high levels of sludge build up from all parts of dirty engines.

The tests also indicated that is keeps on cleaning and rendering dirt harmless until it is removed with the oil at the next service.
