Pre-registration
To meet the REACH regulation requirements, Shell Lubricants have pre-registered all the substances it manufactures.
The REACH regulation does not require the pre-registration of preparations. However, all component substances must be pre-registered. As such, we are working closely with our suppliers around the pre-registration of substances (or equivalent suitable alternatives) supplied to us.

REACH is the new European Union (EU) regulatory system for chemicals. It came into force on 1 June 2007 and will involve the registration of some 30,000 chemicals.
The registration of a product under REACH is a complex process, requiring significant effort on the part of manufacturers and importers.
