As shown in the table below, NEODOL LM*  ethoxylates are named based on the number of carbon atoms contained in the product followed by a number indicating the average moles of ethylene oxide (EO) that are added.

For example, NEODOL LM 1214-2 is a blend of C12, C14 and C16 alcohols with an average of 1.8 moles of ethylene oxide.

NEODOL LM-7
  NEODOL LM-7 is based on detergent alcohols derived from oleochemical processes, with an
average of approximately 7 moles of ethylene oxide per mole of alcohol. The typical range of
C16 in the starting alcohol is 0–2 %.
