Shell’s Russian aviation JV extends operations
Operations started at the airport on 2nd January 2013.
Paul Cluett, General Director of Zao Shell & Aerofuels said: “We are delighted to supply fuels at Pulkovo St Petersburg. This first supply to Turkish Airlines is a result of two years planning and commercial discussions. We are grateful for the support from the North Capital Gateway Consortium and Pulkovo Airport and look forward to a long-term partnership with them”.
Vladimir Spiridonov, Manging Director of the Aerofuels Group stated: “This is a major step forward in the Russian aviation market, providing increased competition and higher levels of service to customers at the start of 2013”.
Petra Koselka, General Manager of Shell Aviation Europe commented: “We see this new aviation entry at St Petersburg as a real boost to the Shell Aviation global network. We believe it will offer significant benefits to our customers over the coming years.”
Zao Shell and Aerofuels is a 50/50 joint venture established in 2001 between Shell and Aerofuels. It now supplies aviation fuels and related services at both Moscow Domodedovo and Pulkovo St Petersburg airports in Russia. This airport entry increases the refueling network of both of its shareholders.
