He initially spent six years at the Stanlow refinery laboratories in the UK before moving onto lubricants analysis and then joining Shell’s Formula One™ programme in 2004.

The 2008 season saw Jamieson become an increasingly familiar face in the Formula One™ paddock, carrying out and monitoring the analysis of fuel and lubricant samples in the Shell Trackside Laboratory. By the end of the year, Jamieson had visited all the circuits on the Formula One™ calendar.

Jamieson attended fewer races in 2009 but took on responsibility for the development of new technologies within the trackside facility, acting as a focal point for any further fuel and lubricant analysis required away from the race tracks.

In 2012 Jamieson will attend a selection of races whilst also continuing his responsibilities away from the race weekends.
