Who are we?
The Shell Technology Ventures team identifies innovations and technologies that complement existing research and development programmes within Shell and boosts rapid technology deployment.
The team comprises of senior investment principals, engineers and scientists. With decades of expertise across all aspects of the energy industry, we are based in three locations in the Netherlands, UK and USA.
Working in partnership
We work closely with entrepreneurs and early-stage companies, as well as the venture capital firms who invest in them. We act both as an investor and as a partner in commercialisation. We share Shell’s technical and scientific know-how with the companies we support and may offer field trials for new technologies.
Partners may be granted access to Shell’s technical experts, its global research capability and its customer, supplier and contractor base. Shell may look to enable field trials where appropriate and serve as a launching customer for these new technologies.
