Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2013 – How to register?

Dates are subject to change. Participants will be notified either by email or through postings on the website/Facebook.

Online Registration

1. This an online form which requires team information, vehicle category and fuel class specifics and the initial submission of technical schematics.
2. Complete the mandatory required information in English only.
3. Upon completion of the online registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a team ID that is required for the technical submission. You will also receive login and password details that can be used to edit the online information prior to the deadline.
4. If you do not receive the confirmation email, kindly inform us at eco-marathon-asia@shell.com. Please do not re-register as it will cause confusion.
5. Please note that applications that are incomplete and not in English will not be accepted.

Technical Submission

1. Download and complete the Technical Submission spreadsheet (in Excel) from the online registration site.
2. Email the completed spreadsheet no later than 21 December 2012 to eco-marathon-asia@shell.com.
3. Instructions on how to complete the Technical Submission is on the first page of the spreadsheet.
4. If you wish to make any changes to your submission later, use the same spreadsheet you submitted and indicate the version and new date of submission in the relevant boxes (within the spreadsheet). Email it to eco-marathon-asia@shell.com. Do not send in a new submission as this will cause confusion.
5. Please complete your submission in English only.
6. When submitting the technical form, please ensure that the file size does not exceed 10MB. If your file exceeds 10MB, it will be rejected.

Deliberation

The Shell Eco-marathon Selection Committee will decide which teams will be invited to participate in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2013. The selection will be based on the relative strength of applications and other criteria to ensure the greatest possible diversity in terms of competing countries, educational institutions, fuel categories and engine types.

Selection of teams will be limited to two per school/university. If there are more than two teams from your school/university, you are advised to rationalise the number of teams.

All decisions taken by the Selection Committee are final and no discussions will be entered into.

Results

Team selection results (listed by team IDs) for Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2013 are now available. Team Managers and teachers will be notified of the selection results by email.

Submission of important documents

To complete your registration, you must submit the following documents no later than 15 May 2013:

• School/University letter of endorsement of the team's participation, with a full list of names of all members, including teacher/faculty advisor. Details including birth date, age and faculty are required.
• Scanned copies of student/teacher IDs and passports,
• Agreement to abide by the Rules and Regulations form,
• Shell Eco-marathon Release Waiver form,
• Sepang International Circuit Indemnity form,
• and other documentation (to be determined)
