Eligibility
There are three Shell Eco-marathon events that take place annually across the globe in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Find out to which edition you should apply to.
The competition in open to full-time high school and university students, who are 16 or older as of the first day of the event in each reagion. The map below indication to which edition you should apply to, depending on where you come from.
Americas
Students from North, Central and Latin America should apply to the Americas edition.
In 2012, teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil participated in the competition.
Europe
Participants from across Europe and some guest countries can participate in the European event.
The countries competing in Europe in 2012 include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom.
Asia
In 2012 Shell Eco-marathon Asia will receive teams from several countries.
The list includes Brunei Darussalam, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam.
Applicants from any other countries should contact shell-eco.marathon@shell.com to enquire about participation eligibility.
