Now in its third year, the competition challenges Asia’s brightest young minds to create innovative vehicles of the future that push the boundaries of fuel-efficiency and energy conservation.

Current and future leaders to rise to smarter mobility challenge
Student teams from 18 countries around Asia and the Middle East are today busy testing and conducting technical inspections on their vehicles before the competition flags off tomorrow. The annual super-mileage competition, which kicked off in Asia in 2010, challenges students to build, design and test energy-efficient vehicles that push the boundaries of fuel-efficiency and energy conservation.

Over 1,000 students at Sepang to participate in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2012
Today, students from all over Asia and the Middle East have come together at Kuala Lumpur’s Sepang International Circuit to compete in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2012. A total of 119 student teams have registered to take part in the challenge to see who has designed and built the region’s most fuel-efficient vehicle, from scratch.
