Students Travel to Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2012 in Style
Washington Team on the track at Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2012 on Friday, March 30, in downtown Houston.
The team left Washington, Mo., and headed for Houston this week with their car in-tow, ready for the long drive ahead.
They had just arrived in a small town about four hours away from Houston when their RV broke down. Rather than surrender to defeat, the team walked to a near-by auto parts store to get the items needed to fix their ride. After all the hours they spent designing and building their vehicle for the competition, the team knew exactly what to do to get them back on the road. Talk about being with the right people when it really counts!
The team is hoping that the perseverance they had while traveling to Houston will continue throughout the competition and help them achieve their goal on the track at Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2012.
