There has never been a more exciting time to work in the energy industry, or at Shell.
We have a track record of world-firsts, from Pearl GTL, the world’s largest gas-to-liquids plant, to Prelude FLNG, the world’s first floating liquefied natural gas platform.
These aren’t just engineering achievements. They are a product of a business that genuinely prizes progress, where you will be constantly encouraged to explore new ways of thinking and working. This same spirit underpins our commitment to your continuous training and development, with excellent learning opportunities available to you at every stage of your career.
The value of a global brand
We’re also one of the world’s best-known brands. With around 92,000 employees in more than 70 countries, we operate on a scale few can rival.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with leading professionals from around the world, sharing expertise and points of view that will hugely enrich your experience
Big challenges. Big opportunities.
The scale of our challenge is exciting too. Global demand for energy is rapidly rising, and outpacing supply. At Shell, we are committed to developing smart solutions to help close this gap and build a better energy future all around the world.
That’s why we’re in search of remarkable people to join us. People who are curious to try new ways of working. Adventurous enough to continuously push the boundaries. Who have the tenacity to drive ideas forward.
Challenge and develop yourself
We find that ideas accelerate when people with different capabilities and backgrounds get together. The culture of inclusivity throughout Shell will give you a greater sense of involvement and help you build on your experience in the energy sector. People thrive when given the freedom to express their professional passion and demonstrate their individual creativity.

We all do best when we're able to let others know who we really are - but many people, including some who are living with disabilities, find this hard to do. Some of our staff shared their stories to encourage others.
Shell has been ranked 4th in the Workplace Pride 2014 Global Benchmark Survey. Nineteen major employers representing over 1.9 million employees in over 96 countries worldwide took part in the survey. Employers were scored for their LGBT workplace inclusion policies and practices around the world based upon their own input to the survey. The Global Benchmark survey is a tool that allows organisations to track their own progress with LGBT workplace inclusion around the world.
