What we do?
As Project Services we have a key role in all capital spent by Shell on major projects, ensuring that the investment decisions of shareholders’ money are based on robust and realistic estimates and schedules, which have been subjected to risk management and analysis. Annually, Shell invests some USD 30 billion maintaining a strong project flow, the company is maturing a further 20 billion boe of new resources for future growth. You could see us as “fund managers” or should we say gatekeepers of the final investment decisions.

Our responsibility doesn’t stop there; throughout the full maturation cycle of a project our professionals are expected to keep the finger at the pulse, ensuring that projects deliver their promises when it comes to cost and schedule.
Our qualified technical staff are specialised in the following 4 core disciplines:

  • cost estimating
  • planning,
  • cost engineering
  • risk management

Globally in Shell approx 900 professionals are involved in major projects from early negotiations until construction of the facilities.
