Here is a brief overview of how the Shell application process works, together with your next steps towards being recruited.

Job search
The first step towards joining Shell as a Professional is to look through our current job vacancies. Please use our Job Search engine to begin.
Apply
Once you find a vacancy that interests you, you can apply using the online application form. Within 48 hours, you should receive confirmation that we’ve received your completed application.
We'll let you know if you’ll be invited to an interview within two weeks.
If you don't find a suitable opportunity, you can also submit your résumé/CV to be matched for future opportunities as they arise. Alternatively, you can register to receive Job Alerts via email. Just visit our Job Alerts page to register and start receiving alerts.
Please note that Shell (nor any of the organisations that recruit on our behalf) never ask for any money or payments from applicants, at any point in the recruitment process. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Shell, whether directly or indirectly, are always required to go through a formal recruitment process.
Interview
If your application is successful, in most instances you'll be invited to an interview within approximately two weeks from your application. The interview will typically take 45 minutes to an hour. This will take place either face-to-face or over the telephone and we'll be assessing your experience against the criteria listed in the job description. At the end of the interview, you'll have the chance to ask us some questions of your own: about the role, the culture, work environment or any other area of interest to you.
Final assessment
If you're successful at your interview, we'll invite you to undertake a Final assessment within approximately three weeks from your interview.
The assessment can take up to four hours and comprises a number of steps: a case study discussion, a scenario exercise and an interview. At the end, you’ll have a further opportunity to engage with us to get more insight into the position, rewards and benefits, and the offer-making process.
We'll endeavour to notify you of the outcome of the Final assessment within a few days of the event.
Please note that all the timings given above are average times for each step in the process. However during periods of high applications, each step can also take longer.
How to apply
Applying as a Professional is straightforward.
Search and apply
- First, find a vacancy that interests you and apply using the online application form.
- Then click the button marked "Send your Application Online".
- You'll then be asked to fill in the Data Protection section and enter your personal details.
- The next step is to validate your email address.
- Once your email is validated, you can log-in to your account and apply.
Submit your Résumé/CV
If you can't find a suitable job using our Job Search engine, don’t worry. You can also submit your résumé/CV with us for future job matching as new opportunities arise.
To submit your résumé/CV:
- Please click "My Application" below and choose Submit Résumé/CV.
- Choose the region where you live from the list, then complete the online application form as instructed.
- If your profile is matched against a suitable job, we'll get in touch for an interview.
