On Thursday February 26, 2015, Shell Gabon hosted the Shell Entreprendre Award Ceremony at its Libreville offices. Among the audience were Etienne Ngoubou, the Minister for Oil and Hydrocarbons; Simon Ntoutoume Emane, the Minister for Labour, Employment and Vocational Training; Jean Baptiste Bikalou, the President of the Chamber of Commerce; and a number of technical and financial partners.
Shell Gabon’s Local Content Policy, officially launched on February 21, 2014, by Godson Njoku, the CEO and Country Chair of Shell Gabon, is designed to identify, within the supply chain, those projects, operations and opportunities for procuring goods and services that can be sourced through local companies.
Shell Gabon participated in the first national forum on Oil & Gas in Gabon on October 2014.
Shell on 22 October 2014 announced a frontier exploration discovery offshore Gabon, West Africa.
On Friday, September 5, 2014, H.E Brian Olley, Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Cameroon and Gabon, visited Gamba, the headquarters of Shell Gabon.
