Our ethylene glycol product stewardship programme includes providing information to our customers on the hazards, safe handling, transport and unloading of ethylene glycol.

Who should I contact in the event of a chemical spill or other transportation incident?

You should call the local emergency response hotline for the country where the incident has taken place. Consult the local MSDS or shipping papers for more information. In the US, this would be the Chemical Transportation Emergency Center ("CHEMTREC") at 1-800-424-9300. As a public service sponsored by the American Chemistry Council and its members, CHEMTREC will provide immediate assistance for an incident and, for Shell products, will notify Shell's Emergency Response Center to activate our response system.
