Technology and innovation

Shell scientists and engineers pioneered a breakthrough technology called the Shell Higher Olefins Process (SHOP) that converts ethylene into even-numbered alpha olefins and even- and odd-numbered internal olefins. SHOP’s flexibility lets it further convert alpha olefins into numerous alcohols and ethoxylates.
