Helena Shen

Helena, a citizen of the People's Republic of China, graduated in Environmental Engineering from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering before pursuing an 18-year career in Human Resources (HR). This encompassed HR roles with several foreign-invested-enterprises prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squib as their China HR Director in 1994.

She subsequently joined BP in 1999 where she held a variety of positions including HR Manager for LPG and Retail in China, HR Manager for Manufacturing & Marketing Support and HR Director for BP's global Marine business (both based in the UK). Her last position with BP, prior to joining Shell in November 2008, was as HR Director for the BP Chemicals global business. 

Helena was appointed Vice President Human Resources for Shell Chemicals Limited in April 2009.
