Robert Moene

Amsterdam-based Robert Moene holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and is a chemical engineer by training. He served for the past six years as regional manager and team leader for Higher Olefins and Derivatives technology in Shell Projects & Technology.

In this role he manages R&D programmes, supporting European colleagues in the respective businesses. During the past four years, he also acted as the global technical manager for the Shell Chemicals growth platform: including the development of surfactants and surfactant formulations for chemical enhanced oil recovery, a role which saw him collaborate closely with Shell Upstream colleagues in Europe and the USA working on chemical and improved oil recovery programmes.

Robert recently took up a new role in Shell Projects & Technology and has now joined the Gas Separation team with a focus on CO2 abatement technologies.
