Kalyan Ram Madabhushi

Kalyan Ram Madabhushi was appointed Global General Manager Solvents, based in the Netherlands, with effect from October 1, 2010. In this role, Kalyan manages teams in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Kalyan has more than 20 years’ experience in the oil and petrochemical industry and has worked in a variety of positions from engineer on an oil rig to marketing, supply, trading, commercial excellence and business management. He moved to Shell Chemicals, Singapore in 1996 and some of his most recent roles include sales/product management, supply management, business/commercial management and M&A lead negotiator.

Kalyan was Chairman of FFIG (Flexible Foam Industry Group, Europe) between 2006 and 2010 and has also been on the Board of ISOPA and other propylene oxide-related industry bodies in Europe.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in International Business from India.

Kalyan is married and lives with his wife and two children in the Netherlands. He enjoys reading and participating in a number of sports including cricket, badminton and tennis.
