Elise Nowee

Elise Nowee was appointed General Manager, Base Chemicals Europe, on December 1, 2012. In this role, Elise manages a team in Europe marketing the “building blocks” of the chemical industry.

Elise joined Shell in 1986 as a chemical engineer and started her career as a technologist in the Pernis Refinery. In her career with Shell, Elise has worked in a variety of roles and has broad experience in Manufacturing, Commercial, Economics and Supply Chain management. In Shell Chemicals, she has had roles in PVC manufacturing, Economic Optimisation, Oil-Chemical Integration, Regional and Global Supply Chain Management, and worked as Product/Commercial Manager in Solvents and Aromatics.

Elise is married with three children and lives in the Netherlands. In her personal time she enjoys sport, spending time with family and friends, travelling and doing charity work for the local community.
