Arthur Rots
Team Leader, Ethylene Oxide & Glycol Technology
After completing his studies at the Technical University of Delft, Arthur Rots spent two years in the Royal Dutch Navy from 1987 to 1989. He then joined Shell, working for three years in support of the SMPO (styrene monomer-propylene oxide) plant in Moerdijk, The Netherlands. Arthur then transferred in 1992 to Shell’s corporate headquarters in The Hague in the Chemicals Manufacturing Engineering department.
Since that time, Arthur has had a variety of roles, both in The Hague and at Shell Technology Centre Amsterdam in EO/EG process technology, plant design, project delivery, licensing acquisition, plant start-up, and the development of Shell OMEGA Process technology. He has also worked on the design and implementation of a number of new EOG process plants around the world. Since 2010 Arthur has been the team leader for the Ethylene Oxide and Glycols (EOG) technology group.
