I’m Maggie van't Hoff, VP IT Transformation and Value. In my time as the Retail CIO, I was in charge of all of Shell Retail’s IT strategy, delivery and operations, which covers 43,000 Retail sites across 80 countries, and I did that while working part-time.

Shell offers me a great work-life balance; I’m passionate about achieving better gender balance in the workplace. As President of our gender network in the UK, I am proud that for International Women’s Day 2015, we changed our name from the Shell Women’s Network to Balance at Shell UK. I think this represents a true shift towards being inclusive when it comes to gender equality. This all culminated with me being named CIO of the Year at the Women in IT Awards 2017, a moment I’m immensely proud of.
