Shell opens 430 Million-litre Lubricants Plant in Singapore

Singapore, November 1, 2017 – Shell today opened an integrated lubricants and grease production facility in Tuas, Singapore. At 10 hectares, the site size is equivalent to almost 25 football pitches. It is Shell’s 3nd largest lubricants plant in the world and 2nd largest in Asia-Pacific, capable of producing up to 430 million litres (equivalent to 390 kilotonnes) of lubricants and greases every year - enough to change the engine oil of over 12,000 cars, every hour, every day.

Shell and Ducati renew technical partnership, extends contract beyond first fill with new aftermarket Oil Deal

Borgo Panigale, Italy – Shell and Ducati today announced an extension of their technical partnership agreement for another three years, taking it past the 20-year mark. Shell also becomes Ducati’s exclusive supplier of aftermarket engine oils for the first time, with the launch of Shell Advance Ducati, Shell’s new motorcycle oil developed specially for Ducati road bikes.

Shell launches into Strategic Cooperation with Faw Jie Fang

Zibo, Shandong - Shell today entered a strategic cooperation with FAW Jie Fang Truck Co. Ltd, China’s largest manufacturer of heavy duty trucks. The new agreement deepens Shell’s relationship with FAW, having been its premium lubricants supplier for first-fill and service-fill oils for many years. Shell and FAW also recently successfully trialled 100,000km long oil drain intervals for the entire powertrain system, including engine, transmission and axle via rigorous bench tests of over10,000 hours and 1.5 million km of road trials, a first in China.

Shell unveils ultra energy efficient concept car

Shell has today (22 April 2016) unveiled a concept city car which, if it were ever to go into production, could deliver material reductions in energy use in the road transport sector. The three seater car is tangible proof of energy efficiency improvements that can be achieved by using cutting edge technology available today through a process of “co-engineering” whereby vehicle body, engine design and lubricants are all created together.
