On Wednesday saw Shell Aviation and Lycoming join forces for their training seminar on choosing the right oil through the life cycle of the engine. Paul Royko, a piston engine oil specialist, and AeroShell’s very own ‘Ask the Answer Man’ shared learnings and undertook product demonstrations. This session will be running again on Friday 29th July at Lycoming Engines booth #277-282, 11:45-12:30pm.

Shell Aviation has also joined up with Continental Motors for an open forum to understand the future of avgas and its effect on existing piston engine aircraft engines. Shell’s Fuel scientist, Tim Shea, shared Shell’s journey in the Piston Aviation Fuel Initiative (PAFI) and explained the next steps of engine testing.  For those who have missed this so far, there will be a session on Friday 29th July at the Continental Booth #229 from 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Don’t forget, the ‘Ask the Answer Man’ session runs every day at the AeroShell Booth, Hangar C #3072 from 2:30pm – 3:00pm where you can ask Paul Royko questions on oils as well as seeing a live product demonstration. All attendees will be given an AeroShell hat.

Monday saw the start of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 and it proved to be a popular day for the AeroShell Booth.
By lunchtime, over 500 Oshkosh attendees had experienced the thrill and excitement of performing with the AeroShell Aerobatic Team – all made possible by 360 Virtual Reality Technology. For the first time ever, technology has made it possible to simulate what it is like to fly with the team. This is the first time that a simulated flight with the AeroShell Aerobatic Team has been produced.

Head down to the AeroShell Booth at Hangar C Booth #3072 to experience the virtual reality ride for yourself.
