Shell Lubricants, a Shell Markets Middle East company, has recently launched its Shell Helix Clean on the Inside Campaign at the Abu Dhabi International Motor Show, one of the most established automobile exhibitions in the region, which took place late December 2008 in Abu Dhabi.

Shell Aviation launches AeroJet fuel in the Middle East at Middle East Business Aviation

During the event, Shell Aviation will host a presentation given by experts flown in from Shell Aviation London to talk about 2 products the company will be introducing to the region, Shell AeroShell Ascender lubricant and Shell Aero Jet fuel.

The deal will also ensure that marine lubricants are available in the rapidly growing Qatari market that will include Qatar Gas Transport Company’s (Nakilat) fleet of 25 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, currently under construction in Korea.

Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Qatar Shell GTL Limited (Shell) have signed two separate heads of agreements with Gulf Petroproducts Company E.C (GPC) and Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited (TPL) regarding supply of Gas to Liquids (GTL) Normal Paraffin from the Pearl GTL project in Qatar. These are the first agreements that refer to third party product off-take from the Pearl GTL project and represent an important milestone.

Shell is a Joint Venture partner with ADNOC in the Abu Dhabi Onshore Company (ADCO) with an interest of 9.5% and in the Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (GASCO) with an interest of 15%.

To mark the closing celebrations for Damascus Arab Capital of Culture 2008 (DACC), a major international touring exhibition, World Ceramics: Masterpieces from the V&A, will open at the historical Khan As'ad Basha in Damascus on 24 November 2008. It will run until 8 January 2009 and will be free to all visitors. The exhibition is hosted by the DACC and sponsored by Shell (Syria), with major support from the General Directorate of Antiquities & Museums and from the British Council in Syria. World Ceramics: Masterpieces from the V&A is the first international exhibition to be held in Syria and in the region by the V&A. It places beautiful objects in an outstanding setting and tells a compelling story of international contacts over five millennia.

DUSUP has selected Shell as adviser and project manager for the development phase. Shell will also be the main LNG supplier and will continue to provide advice to DUSUP once the facility is completed.
