SHELL PARTNERS WITH REGIONAL CUSTOMERS TO HELP THEM INCREASE THEIR OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES AND REDUCE THEIR ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Shell’s innovative efforts do not stop with just supplying the right products. Shell enhances its product offering by providing its customers with various services, including ‘LubeAnalyst’, ‘VideoCheck’, ‘LubeMatch’, which provide the required data on how to utilize Shell products to their maximum capacity and advice on how to lower maintenance costs, extend equipment life and lower energy use.
Amal El-Sheikh, Lubricants Business Manager for the UAE, explained: “At Shell we want to deliver solutions to our customers, including continuously supporting our customers’ entire operations and partnering with them every step of the way to improve efficiencies.”
Showcased at last week’s Commercial Vehicle Exhibition, Shell’s prime lubricant Rimula R6 is a fully synthetic lubricant developed in collaboration with Daimler who conducted a road test last year between the Netherlands and Poland – proving that use of this product can deliver up to 2% fuel economy savings. It provides the right level of engine protection and contributes to efficient transport operations by helping reduce fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions.
At the Exhibition, Jorg Spanke, Business Manager of Fuels at Shell Technology Centre UK, discussed the concerns of Shell’s customers, namely a growing global demand in energy, the question of energy security, cost and volatility: “Lubricants are a small part of the maintenance budget, but have a disproportionate effect on overall costs”.
In the UAE, Shell Rimula R6 LME, together with other innovative products such as Shell Diesel Extra, are used by leading transport and construction companies who have experienced its financial and environmental benefits both of which have been proven by worldwide customers and OEMs like Daimler and Caterpillar.
